In 2022, AMOK was commissioned by Singapore Tourism Board and Ryce Entertainment to produce a series of travel documentaries featuring Jackson Wang and three artists under Team Wang around Singapore. Being our first venture into travel documentaries with a global celebrity, we took a leap of faith and conceptualised, wrote, produced and filmed the series of five travelogues—one in English for the international audience, and four others in Mandarin for the Mandarin-speaking audience.

The series documents Jackson Wang’s time in Singapore during his Magic Man World Tour with Team Wang Records, and we filmed it over seven days spread across two intensive blocks of time to coordinate with Jackson’s tour schedule, targeted at the Gen-Zs and millennial audience. The project brought together a crew of over fifty people, spanning across 3 teams. With the help of our story producers, we researched and explored both iconic and underground spaces in Singapore. We learnt about history, culture and the stories that mattered to these spaces and worked with Mandarin translators to ensure that the nuances of these stories were accurately translated onscreen.
